Cloudflare unifica log e tracce: nuovo listino a consumo dal 1° dicembre 2026

Cloudflare announced eight updates on 2 October 2026 that bring together logs, traces, analytics, alerts, dashboards and data export into a single observability platform, alongside a new usage-based pricing model. For anyone managing domains, Workers or containers behind Cloudflare, the development that matters most is the pricing: it changes how you pay for log and tracing data, taking effect from 1 December 2026.

The new pricing

Pricing shifts from a per-event count to one based on ingested and stored volume. The Paid plan includes 50 GB per billing cycle of ingestion and 12 GB-month per billing cycle of storage, with $0.25 per additional GB ingested and $0.10 per additional GB-month stored. The Free plan includes 0.5 GB per day of ingestion with seven days of retention, with no option to purchase additional ingestion.

A practical example published in the official documentation: with 75 GB of ingestion and 20 GB-month of storage in a single billing cycle, the additional cost is $6.25 for ingestion and $0.80 for storage, for a total of $7.05.

From 1 December 2026, all Cloudflare logs and traces will use the same pricing model, while non-sampled security datasets are priced differently, at $1 per GB ingested, with 30 days of retention included. Queries, dashboards, alerts and analytics carry no additional cost.

For those already on Workers Observability on the Free, Pro and Business plans, the move to the new pricing is automatic from 1 December 2026, with ingestion charges applied only to data received from that date onwards. Enterprise accounts switch over at contract renewal.

Logpush opened up to all plans

The second operational change concerns log export. Cloudflare Logpush is now available on the Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans with usage-based pricing: Free, Pro and Business customers can enable it on a self-service basis, while Enterprise accounts continue to work with their account team.

Every account receives a monthly included allowance before charges kick in: 25 GB per month for internal exports, then $0.03 per additional GB; 25 GB per month for external exports, then $0.10 per additional GB; 1 GB per month for transformations, then $0.04 per additional GB.

Unified tracing and queries

Among the other updates, Cloudflare Traces enters public beta with per-request views covering security rules, caching, routing and Workers, exportable via OpenTelemetry. There's also a new unified SQL API for querying logs, traces and analytics from a single interface, complete with a dedicated CLI and an MCP server for automated agents. Anyone administering multiple domains or workloads on Cloudflare will need to review usage and monitoring budgets ahead of 1 December 2026, the date on which the new pricing takes effect.
