The MariaDB Foundation has announced that the Ecosystem Hub, the open source directory dedicated to products and projects compatible with MariaDB Server, has surpassed 200 entries six months after its launch in March 2026. For anyone running hosting or infrastructure built on MariaDB, it's a further point of reference for finding verified tools for connectivity, backup, monitoring and migration.
What the Hub contains
According to the Foundation, the listing spans a wide range of categories: cloud and hosting platforms, monitoring and observability, backup and recovery, security, migration, connectivity, DevOps, analytics, AI and application development, content management, e-commerce and full business applications. The 200 entries include database connectors and management tools, managed MariaDB services, hosting providers, monitoring platforms, migration technologies, enterprise applications and open source projects.
"The MariaDB ecosystem has always been larger than any one company or product. Reaching 200 entries makes that breadth much easier to see and navigate," said Anna Widenius, CEO of the MariaDB Foundation, in the official announcement.
Solution Stacks
Alongside individual entries, the Hub also offers "Solution Stacks": reference architectures showing how to combine MariaDB Server with other technologies for specific use cases. The first one published is the Privacy-First Collaboration Stack, which brings together MariaDB Server, Nextcloud and Passbolt for file collaboration and password management with full data control. According to the Foundation, further stacks are in development covering sovereign infrastructure, e-commerce, multicloud independence, high availability and open web performance.
"A directory helps people discover what exists. Solution Stacks show how the pieces can work together to solve an actual business or technical problem," Widenius added.
How to join
Listing in the directory is free. The Foundation is inviting project maintainers, technology companies, cloud and hosting providers, application developers and service providers whose product supports MariaDB Server to submit their entry at ecohub.mariadb.org/get-involved. Each listing describes what the technology does, how it integrates with MariaDB, and where to find documentation or source code.
