Wordfence has announced that from 3 December 2026, prices for Premium, Care and Response plans will increase. If you manage multiple WordPress installations on shared hosting or a VPS, now is the time to decide whether to renew early or accept the new rate on your next purchase.
New pricing
| Plan | Current price | Price from 3 December 2026 | Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $149/year | $199/year | +34% |
| Care | $590/year | $890/year | +51% |
| Response | $1,250/year | $1,900/year | +52% |
Customers on legacy Premium rates (pricing tiers from before 2024) will see a 40% increase on their current rate, according to a copy of the announcement republished on malware.news from the official Wordfence blog.
Volume discounts confirmed
For those protecting multiple sites with Premium licences, quantity discounts remain in effect on the new $199 baseline. Purchasing three Premium licences at the new price gives a 10% discount, equivalent to $179.10 per licence, or $537.30 for a year; with three active licences already in your portfolio and purchasing three more, the combined count of six brings the new licences to a 15% discount, at $169.15 each.
Who can renew early and how
Existing licences can be renewed up to one year before expiry, but a licence with more than one year remaining is not yet eligible for early renewal. Anyone purchasing or renewing by 2 December locks in the current price.
This isn't the first time
It's the second price increase in two years for the same three plans: in December 2024, Wordfence had already raised Premium from $119 to $149, Care from $490 to $590 and Response from $950 to $1,250, as reported at the time on the official blog and picked up by industry comparisons. If you manage multiple sites for clients, you should recalculate the annual licence cost for renewals due in the coming months, before 3 December.
