Bunny.net adds "bunny sites" to its CLI: deploy static sites with one command
Bunny.net introduces bunny sites in its CLI: it creates storage and pull zones, publishes the build and enables instant rollback with a single command.

Bunny.net has added a new set of commands to its CLI, bunny sites, designed for anyone currently assembling the deployment pipeline for a static site by hand: storage zone, pull zone in front, domain pointing, upload scripts and cache purging. The new feature, announced on the company's official blog on 8 October 2026, removes these manual steps for anyone hosting static sites on the bunny.net network.
With bunny sites deploy run inside the project, on the first deploy the CLI automatically creates the storage zone and pull zone, detects the framework in use and offers to run the build. The site immediately gets a working HTTPS address on a b-cdn.net domain, with no need to configure DNS or certificates before seeing it live. To connect a custom domain, you simply run bunny sites domains add yourdomain.com: if the domain is on Bunny DNS, the CLI configures the record and issues the free SSL certificate; otherwise it prints the CNAME to set manually.
Every deploy is immutable and identified by the Git commit or a content hash: republishing the same output does not generate new upload traffic. Publishing consists of a pointer switch plus a cache purge, making the step atomic. Rollback is just as straightforward:
bunny sites deployments list
bunny sites deployments publish --previous
No rebuild, no new upload: the previous deploy goes live again within seconds. To clean up the history accumulated over time, there's bunny sites deployments prune, which always keeps the most recent deploys and never touches the live one or the previous one.
The CLI recognises generators such as Astro, Hugo, Jekyll, Gatsby, Eleventy, Docusaurus and Gridsome, as well as SPAs with client-side routing (Vite, Angular, React Router), for which it automatically configures the fallback to index.html.
Those using GitHub can scaffold the pipeline with bunny sites ci init, which generates a GitHub Action based on the detected framework: pushing to main publishes the site, with the option of manual redeployment.
How much does it cost
This mechanism doesn't introduce a new pricing model: you pay for the underlying bunny.net infrastructure.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Storage (standard tier, single region) | $0.01 per GB per month |
| CDN Europe and North America | from $0.01 per GB |
| CDN other regions | up to $0.06 per GB |
| DNS for custom domains | free |
| Bunny Optimizer (optional, per site) | $9.50 per month |
| Minimum monthly account fee | $1 |
Traffic between storage and CDN is free. For now, bunny sites is only available via the CLI; the company states it is working on dashboard integration and on automatic deployment of Edge Scripts together with the site.
